Privacy Policy for Darts Scorer 180
Last updated: August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed when using Darts Scorer 180.
1. Controller
2. General Principle
Essential parts of Darts Scorer 180 can be used without a user account and offline.
Data from purely local games is generally processed on the user’s device unless the user activates functionality that requires transmission to our servers.
Certain features, including synchronization, Live Mode, Friends and Online Games, require a user account.
We currently do not use general advertising, marketing or user-behavior analytics services within the current version of the application except for the services expressly described in this Privacy Policy.
3. User Accounts and Authentication
Registration is available through:
- Sign in with Apple;
- Google Sign-In.
We use Supabase Auth for technical management of user accounts.
Depending on the authentication method selected, we may process:
- a unique user identifier;
- technical authentication information;
- information made available by the relevant authentication provider for authentication purposes.
Darts Scorer 180 does not provide its own password-based authentication.
We process this information to create and manage user accounts, authenticate users and provide account-related functionality.
Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is in particular Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where processing is necessary to provide functionality requested by the user.
Apple and Google process information in connection with their respective authentication services in accordance with their own privacy policies.
4. Supabase and Cloud Storage
We use Supabase for backend, database, authentication, storage, realtime and server-side functionality.
Our Supabase database and storage for player images are configured for an EU region in Ireland and operate on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
For logged-in users, the following information may be stored:
- internal user identifier;
- username;
- players;
- player names;
- player images;
- games;
- game dates and game histories;
- scores;
- statistics;
- friendship requests and friendship relationships;
- blocking information;
- technical information required for Online and Live functionality.
Supabase Realtime is used, in particular, for real-time transmission of data for functionality such as Live Mode and Online Games.
Supabase Edge Functions may be used for server-side processing of certain functionality.
Processing is performed to provide, synchronize and secure functionality requested by users and, where the GDPR applies, is generally based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
5. Local Use Without an Account
Users may use the application without an account.
In this case, players, games and statistics are generally stored locally on the user’s device unless the user uses functionality that expressly requires an online connection or transmission of information.
Cloud synchronization does not take place without the corresponding user account.
Data stored exclusively locally may be lost if the application is deleted or the device is reset, lost or replaced.
6. Players and Player Images
Users may create players within the application using freely selected player names.
Use of a person’s legal name is not required.
Users may optionally associate an image with a player. Images may be captured using the device camera or selected from the device’s photo library.
Access to the camera or photo library takes place only in accordance with the permission mechanisms of the relevant operating system.
For logged-in users, player images may be stored in cloud storage.
Providing a player image is voluntary.
7. Friends
Registered users may create a unique username and find other users using usernames.
Friendship requests must be accepted by the recipient.
Once a friendship has been confirmed, friends may see each other’s:
- username;
- stored player names;
- player images;
- game statistics;
- previous games and their dates;
- participating players;
- scores and game histories.
This processing is carried out to provide the Friends functionality requested by the user.
Users may remove friends and block or report other users.
The relationships and status information required for these functions are stored for as long as necessary to provide the relevant functionality.
8. Online Games
Darts Scorer 180 may enable registered users to create public Online Games, play against other users or invite friends to Online Games.
During public Online Games, other users may see:
- the user’s username;
- a player image if the user has enabled public display of that image;
- the average of the user’s default player;
- scores and statistics relating to the current game.
Historical game information and other past statistics are not made available to unknown online opponents solely as a result of participating in an Online Game.
Public display of a player image in Online Mode is optional.
9. Live Mode
Live Mode enables registered users to display data from an ongoing game in real time through a web service.
A unique code is generated for this purpose.
Persons who know this code may view the game information made available through Live Mode using the relevant web service.
Information required for live transmission is processed through our backend and realtime infrastructure.
Users decide with whom they share a Live Mode code.
10. Purchases and RevenueCat
Darts Scorer 180 offers paid Pro products, which may include:
- monthly subscriptions;
- annual subscriptions;
- one-time purchases.
Payment processing itself is performed by Apple or Google.
We use RevenueCat to technically manage and validate purchase entitlements.
RevenueCat may process information including:
- app user identifiers;
- technical device information;
- purchase and subscription information;
- Apple transaction or receipt information;
- Google purchase tokens;
- entitlement status.
We do not receive complete payment-card information.
This processing is performed to manage purchases made by users and provide purchased functionality.
RevenueCat processes end-user data as part of providing its services. Depending on the infrastructure involved, information may be processed outside the European Economic Area. Where required, appropriate safeguards for international transfers are used.
11. Error Monitoring with Sentry
We use Sentry to identify, analyze and resolve technical errors.
Information processed may include:
- application version;
- operating system and operating-system version;
- device type and technical device information;
- device or installation identifiers;
- time and technical context of an error;
- stack traces and diagnostic information;
- usage information where technically associated with an error.
We do not intentionally provide Sentry with email addresses, player names or other profile information for error-analysis purposes.
The processing serves our legitimate interest in maintaining the stability, security and technical functionality of the application and, where the GDPR applies, is generally based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
12. Push Notifications
Darts Scorer 180 may provide push notifications, for example in connection with friendship requests, Online Games or other application functionality.
The following services may be used:
- Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) on Apple devices;
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) on Android devices.
Technical push tokens and information required to deliver a notification may be processed for this purpose.
Users can disable push notifications through their operating-system settings.
Where this functionality has not yet been enabled, the corresponding processing begins only when the Push Notification functionality is actually offered or used.
13. External Auto-Scoring Systems and Integrations
Darts Scorer 180 may in the future support connections with compatible third-party hardware or software, including automatic darts scoring systems.
The information processed or transmitted to a third party depends on the relevant integration.
Where personal data is transmitted to an external provider, users will be appropriately informed before or when the relevant integration is introduced, and this Privacy Policy will be updated where required.
Communication that occurs exclusively locally between devices does not necessarily result in personal data being transmitted to the manufacturer of the relevant hardware or software.
14. Advertising
Older versions of Darts Scorer 180 may contain advertising.
The processing that takes place depends on the version of the application installed by the user.
If new advertising functionality is introduced in the future that processes personal data, device identifiers or other information for advertising purposes, this Privacy Policy will be updated before or when such processing is introduced and any legally required consent will be obtained.
15. No General Analytics or Marketing Tracking
Except for the services described in this Privacy Policy, the current application does not currently use general user analytics, attribution or marketing tracking services such as Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta SDK, AppsFlyer, Adjust, Mixpanel or comparable services.
16. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data in particular:
- To perform a contract or provide functionality requested by the user – Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR
- including user accounts, cloud synchronization, Friends, Live Mode, Online Games and paid functionality;
- For legitimate interests – Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
- including security, abuse prevention, error diagnosis, protection of our infrastructure and enforcement of our Terms;
- Based on consent – Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR
- where consent is required and obtained for particular processing;
- To comply with legal obligations – Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR
- where we are legally required to process or retain particular information.
17. Recipients
Personal data may be disclosed, where necessary, to categories of recipients including:
- hosting and backend service providers;
- authentication providers;
- Apple and Google;
- RevenueCat;
- Sentry;
- push infrastructure providers;
- technical service providers supporting operation and security of the Service;
- authorities or other recipients where disclosure is legally required.
Other users receive only the information made visible through the relevant Friends, Live or Online functionality.
We do not sell our users’ personal data.
18. International Data Transfers
Some service providers may be based or operate infrastructure outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA to a country that is not subject to an applicable adequacy decision, appropriate safeguards are used where legally required, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
19. Retention
Personal data is generally retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose.
Account-related game and profile information is generally stored until deleted by the user or until the user account is deleted unless a shorter retention period applies.
When a user account is deleted, information associated with that account is removed from active systems.
Following deletion, information may remain in technical backups for a limited period of generally up to seven days before being overwritten or deleted.
Mandatory statutory retention obligations remain unaffected.
Technical error information is retained only for as long as required for error analysis, security and the corresponding technical purposes.
20. Account Deletion
Users can delete their account directly within the application.
This deletes, in particular:
- the user account;
- username and profile information;
- stored players;
- player images;
- games and game histories;
- statistics;
- friendships and friendship requests;
- other application data associated with the account,
unless a legal obligation or another lawful basis requires continued retention.
Deleting a Darts Scorer account does not automatically cancel a subscription purchased through Apple or Google.
21. Data Subject Rights
Subject to applicable data protection law, individuals have rights including the right to:
- obtain access to their personal data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- request deletion of their data;
- request restriction of processing;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- request data portability;
- withdraw consent with effect for the future;
- lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
Requests may be sent to info@dartsscorer.app.
22. Children’s Data
Darts Scorer 180 does not contain content intentionally intended only for adults.
Where minors use the application, applicable legal requirements and platform rules apply.
Certain social or public functionality may be restricted depending on the user’s age where required by law or the rules of the relevant app store.
We do not encourage users to include their full legal name, address, telephone number or other unnecessary personal information in usernames or player profiles.
23. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorized access, alteration and disclosure.
However, no electronic transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
24. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, technologies used or legal requirements change.
Where legally required, users will be appropriately informed of material changes.
The current version will be available through the application or our designated website.
